  • What are Product Browsing Filters?

We can setup filters for customers to use while browsing (by brands, colour, size, price, availability, etc.) using our Query Rewrite fo Lightpeed, AdVision AE web store platforms.

    PRODUCT BROWSING FILTERS IN AE

Speak with AE Sales about installing the product browsing filters module.

Once installed, product browsing filters can be found in AE admin under Catalog>>Products>>Filters.  Here you can create new filters and determine where (which categories, search) they show in your webstore(s).

To create your first filter, click “Create a New Filter”.  In the form that loads, fill in the following fields:

    • Name: Your name for the filter.
  • What is and is not supported when it comes to 3rd party eCommerce Modules?

AdVision Support covers any web store customization we have done on any 3rd party eCommerce Modules such as Lightspeed's OnSite and is restricted within a fixed version number.

What this means is that AdVision's support covers any issues arising on the eCommerce module based within the version number that we customized and its subsequent release such as 2.0 to 2.1 and 2.2 and so on.

What is not supported is when a new full release version from 3rd parties are released, from 2.0 to 3.0 to 4.0 etc.

The reason behind this is that, historically new (full version) 3rd

  • Section 2 - How CatalogPilot Works (The Mental Model)

CatalogPilot is an external intelligence layer that sits alongside your eCommerce platform — not inside it.

Instead of overwriting or modifying your catalog data, CatalogPilot creates a secure, synchronized copy of your catalog outside your platform, enriches it, and then delivers approved improvements at page render time.

    The Three Core States

Every piece of content in CatalogPilot moves through three clear states:

    1. Enriched New structured content has been generated (SEO, accessibility, metadata, variants, images, categories).
    2. Approved A human has confirmed the enrichment is acceptable. This is the trust boundary.
    3. Delivered Approved content is actively being delivered to your storefront for
  • Section 7 - Review Queue & Approval Workflow

    Purpose of the Review Page

The Review page is the primary quality-control checkpoint in CatalogPilot.

Its role is to give merchants fast, low-cognitive confirmation that enriched product data is accurate, improved, and safe to approve — without requiring deep technical review or repetitive editing.

This page is intentionally designed to:

    • Minimize cognitive load
    • Encourage visual comparison rather than line-by-line validation
    • Reinforce trust in the enrichment system
    • Make bulk approval the normal and safe action

CatalogPilot assumes that merchants want control, not busywork.

    Review Status Overview (Top Counters)

At the top of the Review page, merchants see a summary of items

  • Section 35 — Usage

The Usage tab provides a detailed, item-level view of all enrichment activity that contributes to usage-based billing. While the Billing tab summarizes costs at a high level, the Usage tab shows the granular breakdown of each enrichment action as it occurs.

This view is designed for transparency and traceability, not configuration.

    Usage Table Overview

Each row in the Usage table represents a single enrichment event. The table includes the following columns:

    • Date / Time (UTC)Displays when the enrichment occurred. All activity is logged in UTC for consistency across regions.
    • Subject Identifies the specific object that was enriched:
      • Product
      • Image
      • Variant
  • Section 22 — Category Tab

The Category tab provides a structured editing and reference view for individual product categories.

It mirrors the Product tab in layout, controls, and behavior, but applies those same principles at the category level rather than the individual product level.

This tab is secondary to the Category Gallery, which remains the primary overview for category enrichment. The Category tab exists to allow targeted review, confirmation, or adjustment when needed.

    Purpose of the Category Tab

The Category tab allows merchants to:

    • Review category-level metadata generated by CatalogPilot
    • Make factual corrections or additions where appropriate
    • Reference platform identifiers and source URLs
    • Control whether
  • Section 10 — Product Tab (Targeted Editing & Overrides)

The Product tab provides structured, field-level access to core product content.

It is not the primary review interface — that role belongs to the Product Gallery described in Section 4.

Merchants typically arrive at the Product tab only after visually reviewing content in the gallery and deciding whether any targeted adjustments are needed.

5.1 Purpose of the Product Tab

    The Product tab exists to:

    • Allow precise edits to individual product fields
    • Support manual overrides when needed
    • Provide full transparency into enriched vs original values
    • Preserve merchant control without forcing manual work

Most merchants will not need to use this tab

  • Section 31 — Storefront: Schema & Brand Identity Settings

This section controls how your brand, policies, and business identity are represented in structured data (JSON-LD) and social previews across your storefront. These settings do not change how your site looks to customers, but they are critical for trust, compliance, and search engine understanding.

    Schema Logo

The Schema Logo is used in your site’s structured data to establish brand provenance.

    • This logo is embedded into JSON-LD as your official brand mark
    • It helps search engines and AI systems associate products with your business entity
    • The logo does not affect storefront visuals

    Best practice:

Use your primary brand logo in a

  • I can't connect to LightSpeed Cloud. What can I do?

    Tips to Resolve Connection Problems

Though the internet largely prevents these issues, sometimes a bad core router on the internet may prevent you from reaching LightSpeed Cloud. Ordinarily these routers are identified and removed by other healthy routers as a potential pathway for your request. Sometimes things don’t work out perfectly and you end up in a internet partitioning situation where you can access some sites and not others due to these bad routes. To troubleshoot this problem try the following steps:

    1. Reboot your modem and verify that the modem reboot does not correct your problem. If you end up

  • What is the Brands add-on functionality?

Its is a self administer module that allows you to display the list of Brands/Designers on your webstore (listed as Families on LS POS).

It can be displayed in 2 ways. Either you can display them as list of Brands as in:

Or, you can choose to display them as list of Brand logos (you will need to have all the logo images), as in:

In that module you can also choose to display banner on the category page of that Brand. Example, banner displaying on the page displaying all the Anderson’s Brand product.
